Here are some pics, I'll take some of my car later. Zip ties for easier pull down as well

I'm pretty sure I bought my tubing from Reef Scuba about 3 years ago. Nothing fancy for me, just tie one end to the cage up at the roof and the other end to the shoulder belts so they are up and out of the way. The lap belts are tied back to the attachment points and this keeps them off the seat (so you don't sit on them when you get into the car). While I did it to speed driver changes in an enduro (NASA not PCA and time counts!), it is a nice benefit even when speed is not critical.

I installed them in my car for convenience not speed. Have you ever set down and discovered you were sitting on the lap belts or had the shoulder harnesses behind your back? PIA to get them out, especially if you have your helmet on. If you answered yes, you want them, No, no need.

I zip tied mine to the cage. Leave them long and the zip ties not fully tightened. You will, almost, certainly have to adjust length and position. Be careful when you release them. They may hit you in the face until you have figured out where they work best w/o harm.

Keep in mind binding or interfering with nets or shifting when planning install.

All it is is latex tubing .
I sold it in my hardware store by the foot.
Find a good ACE store somewhere . Chances are they may have it.

thanks for the laugh.

I used it for a while until I figured out I can set the shoulder belts on the old style Kirky halo. No muss no fuss.

The tubing comes in dif thickness and the thinner stuff is well strong enough to lift the strap up/out but not pull hard enough to dislodge the belt from proper position when you are belted in.

And I thought I knew how to use the tubing in my car and that it was used in the OR. This site collects an amazing amount of (mostly) useful information!

We use the above techniques with our Schroth harnesses. The Schroths (and most newer belts) have the tabs built in so you can install the tubing to keep them suspended and our of the way. One area to think about with the applying the tubing to the belts is the angle of the tubing when both the belts are out of the way and when they are secured to your body. I have seen some belts that will loosen over the time of the race because the tubing is pulling them away.
