She's a bit loose, Keptain!

You're entering Little Bend too far on the left side of the track...

agreed, I changed after seeing the data.

The car has a set of Continental series scubs on it, obviously the seller put together a very mismatched set. We swapped to another set and got the car really working well. 1:18's on the 1.7.

I thought that the pit crew put the big tires on the front.

OMG, not smooth.

Here's the same car with some high speed understeer http://vimeo.com/20777614, mid to low 18s are possible with some setup and driving work on the current Conti tires. There's a lot of time to be had in this car with a diff, slicks, and some more power.

What kind of racer would I be if I didn't have excuses?

There is quite a lot of time to be had in ANY car with a diff, slicks, and more power...

1:18's ? That's great ! - I sure hope it's out there this weekend for the NASA race so we can see this rocket. Also that way Jay will have someone to chase after in his 996.

This isn't gonna be one of those "BMW only club racers" or "I drive my car Flatout at all the DE's & open track member days", is it ?

Bill Woods and I are also in the 1:18s and I bet Bassam will be right there as well. I would expect Jay to be south of 1:18. Either way, should be a very fast group.

I am currently registered in my old 911 in GTS-3 hoping to chase Kevin but I am having an electrical problem that might cause a last minute swap back into the 996. That car is back from the body shop but missing graphics on one side of the car.

Good to know the 996 is ready! I don't think I'll keep up with you guys as I never been to MSR-C. On the other hand I found a problem with my varioram and my horsepower is peaking at 6300 + rpm compared to 5800 and went up in horsepower! should be a fun weekend.

Jay has never run a 1:18 there, I think his best was a 1:20 or so. I still haven't dialed up his power like I need to, so who knows. I guess we will see this weekend.

Kevin was looking forward to running with you this weekend in GTS3.

True, I meant all of these things will be class legal.* It's way down on GTS4 power.

He might be doing the DE or TT this weekend, he doesn't feel he's ready to race yet though. Sean and I have been coaching him and getting him up to speed, he really progressed a lot this past weekend. First race will be April 30/March 1 with BMWCCA at MSR-C, it's too bad NASA is the same weekend.

No, it will be raced in BMWCCA and NASA.
