Default A little off topic but...

My wife and I were watching the news Friday night and the weather guy was talking about the fact that we were under a high wind warning. About 2 minutes later we heard a VERY loud thud. When I went outside I thoroughly expected to see my trailer crushed by a tree instead this is what I found.

2 years ago we paid $800 to have tree next to our driveway trimmed after we got a couple of similar sized logs to descend down. it is cheaper to chop damn thing down than to trim it but town does not allow to destroy `em.

Kinda reminds me of my 19th birthday!!! I threw really cracking house party . Good music, drinks, and GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS. Party's going great. Then, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, some effing drunk guy fell of my balcony, toppled off an awning, and landed right ontop of the winshield/passenger door of my mom's ford escort. Did i mention that he was hella fat, cus that's kind of important. -__-
There's been no more cracking house parties ever since

anyways, good luck with your insurance claim. these things can be a biiiish. i would know.

I have heard that this type of thing is becoming more common because of the potential liability in fixing major stuctrural damage. If you can find someone who will fix it, let the insurance company total it, buy it back at salvage value, and have it fixed. You will probably come out ahead, which will give you some extra cash for racing. Only downside is you will have a salvage title, which will affect resale value.

Damn.....glad it was just the truck!

Used to have a 130ft tall black oak next to my driveway. About 3 years ago I came out around 5AM to go to work and almost crapped myself. A 20ft long by 1ft diameter limb had broken off the tree and landed in my driveway.......about 18" from the rear of the Porsche !

Took me and a chainsaw over an hour of triming so I could get my truck out.....DPW came and pulled the rest to the side of the road. $6k later (power lines ran through the branches) the tree was removed.
