I have been racing the car on the left for over a year now, we got it repainted (was red/black) and rebodied for Sebring but it still needs a lot of tweaking for the bigger tires/fenders/new shocks and springs.

Being down more than 100 hp, I did not have much for the competitors in my class who were putting at least 5-6 seconds on me down the back straight. The enduro did not go well as I split the upper radiator hose about 7 laps into the race. The ensuing pitstop was 1 hr and 55 minutes as I had to drive to advanced auto, find a hose that was close and then make it work. Managed to get back out on track and work on setup.
The sprints races however were a blast, because I ended up being smack in the middle of 5 thunder roadsters for each race. The racing was some of the closest I've ever had. It was an all out battle over every inch of the track, forcing me to take lines that I had never even considered. I learned a lot from racing with that group.
I finally got a traqmate system (used from a friend) and made good use of the data. I found speed in many corners, including a 5mph increase in T1
Great to see a number of rennlisters this weekend, including VR, Chris, and Chad.

Tim and David - congrats to both on quite an entertaining show. My wife, who goes along with this stuff but is not really an enthusist had a blast watching yesterday. We watched one race from the top of 12 and the other from the bottom of the esses. She got a real kick out of the people around us who keep mentioning the "fast red GT3" and how it was running with the big bore stuff.
Tim - racing with the roadsters, that was a real hoot to watch especially you guys scooting up the hill in 5, seemed every lap you guys switched positions. She really enjoyed herself.

Interesting w/e. You were missed.
They say no good deed goes unpunished. Got my best time on Fri qual so got bumped up two classes. Even tho I got annual tech and classification 4 weeks ago at Sebring and the car is unchanged. So from one behind DP to one above- his car with 3.6 to my 3.4 and Motons vs JRZ and bit lighter.
Whatever. We pushed each other the rest of the w/e to personal bests. After more than 6 hrs seat time, no one got hurt and cars
still running more or less as they started.
But I need a 3.6 (at least!) to stay close the other cars on the
straights. Those roadsters must have gone WTF, when I could barely pull them down the back.

A 3.4 in R3? That is not right. My customer that I Crew Chief runs R3 with a 3.8 997 and was running 2:20s at Sebring before he finally just installed an LSD and LWF. 3.6s I thought were even R4... Confused....

Hey guys! It was good speaking with some of you. The first picture is from Saturday's race.
The following pics are what happened on Sunday morning, Cold Hoosier Slicks and apparently too much throttle. Spun the rear wheels as we left the pits and zip, hard left into the concrete wall...
