I queried Bob V. on the rating suggesting perhaps R4 was more appropriate given my lap times (recently at Winterfest) but have you ever seen him change his mind? Maybe he thought it was reverse psychology.
For the record the car pictured has been mine since I bought it salvage title from a wrecker couple of years ago. Its a 1999 C2- a very good year I hear -stock motor with LWF, cup type exhaust, eBay headers (about $200 as I recall) with used 2-way JRZs, GT3 links etc. and fully gutted, but with all-OEM steel panels, cage and usual safety add ons. I raced it once last year with PBOC at Barber, then at Winterfest '11.
That's the history folks.

Classing at PBOC is a bit mysterious. My last car (924s with a 968 engine was in R4). My new car is very similar but supercharged with much more HP and TQ. When Bob was going over it I told him I expected it to be an R3 car, he came up with R4??? Oh well, this weekend I will get killed going down the back straight since my car is back in NA form for a while

PBOC Classing is done by this guy.... It's really kind of ridiculous if you think about it. They have this really long technical sheet about the set up on the car so that, in their infinite racing wisdom, they can class the cars. The problem is this..., no one tells the truth on the sheet or if they do, they get so penalized that they then go back and say, "but look at my lap times compared to the group." So, they end up adjusting the classes by laptimes thus rendering meaningless the ridiculously long technical sheet.

Looks like you managed to take 3rd overall for the season in R1 with that one rookie race
