I booked at the Holiday Inn Braselton on Friday.
It is across the street from Chateau Elan, and I believe thast it ismuch closer to the track than the H I Express off the highway.

Three Wheelin'
There is a Hampton in FLowery Branch on Exit 8 (I-985).
Restaurants close by. I have never stayed there because I live only 4 miles away. But it is close.
You can also look near Exit 12 (I-985) in Gainesville. That is close (but further from Atlanta).
Mall of Georgia has hotels nearby - get's you a little bit closer to the city.
