Okay I just got confirmation: I will be performing a bellydance routine at the awards ceremony Saturday night! It will be live broadcast through clubregistration.net. Thanks for asking for the performance Mike, as that pushed me over the edge to do it, just like that penguin in your signature. Ha!!! This will be original material, designed exclusively for the Texas Two Step Race!!!

Currently we have 65 drivers registered including:
16 SpecBarbies -- will be over 20 by race weekend
17 E Stock
And the biggest Spec996 field to ever run in a PCA race (ok it's only four, but it's a start)
There will be quite a few more who are yet to register. We typically field about 90 cars.
We will have plenty of track support, a barbecue dinner at the track on Friday night, a sit down dinner at a nearby country club on Saturday night, two 30 minute sprints on Saturday, and two 40 minute sprints on Sunday.
And... A BELLY DANCER.
Come on down to Texas and race with us!

Ok, I'm trying to make the decision. My plan was to go to Road Atlanta and skip TWS, but I'm having second thoughts. The pros for tws are friends and I'm still trying to learn the new car so a familiar track would be nice. Pros for Atlanta are bigger field, cool track, and I've "budgeted" already for the trip. I wish I could know now what the weather will be like both places? Feedback and ridicule are welcomed.

From the Farmer's Almanac -
March 2011
1st-3rd. Fair across the Southern Plains.
4th-7th. Increasing clouds.
8th-11th. Fair for most areas. No weather problems for Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
12th-15th. Stormy conditions spread in from the Southern Rockies.
16th-19th. Gradual clearing.
20th-23rd. Sunshine gives way to clouds.
24th-27th. A major storm brings a late-season blizzard to parts of the Southern Plains, with up to a half foot possible.
28th-31st. Mainly sunny.
Last year's race had an absolutely GORGEOUS Test 'n Tune Day. ANd then the cold front came through Saturday morning about 9:30AM. WOW! Some pretty unbelievable thunder storms, wind and cold weather. I bring my rains to the Texas Two Step - ALWAYS.

That's why we wrap our cars, so the body pieces atleast make it back to the pits! It's a tough decision! I'd hate to go down there and have some SP996s beat me. It's tempting to go for a race group win, never come close to that yet, but there are some fast guys there Mark, Bruce, and Rob(when he signs up). What's more dangerous, the track at Atlanta or the belly dancing at TWS? Both have cost me several thousand dollars.

My good friend who is a coach tells me I'm uncoachable and I should take up a new hobby like parachuting or something.... Kidding aside VR thanks for the offer. I just sold my RSA to a great guy in Houston who speaks highly of you! If I end up at TWS I probably will have my friend help me - he basically tells me to drive faster and not to be rude I listen!
