you can get a 40, 20, 40 front bench in a F150... Just not the Lariat F-150. It is standard in XLT.

Nice Rick. Uh, isn't that what you already had, an F250?

Chris; you're right. My other one was a 2005. The new one is a huge improvement over the prior generation.

What's the word on your new towing setup Rick? And when are we going to see you at the track?

Chris,

The towing is amazing...best setup I've ever driven.

As for on-track, I'm between cars right now. I sold both race cars and I'm actively looking - I'll probably do something in G/H/I class and have leads on a couple of interesting cars. In the meantime, I'm having a blast - I bought race karts for all 4 kits (even the 6 year-old girl!), my wife and 2 for me...we'll be back on track with those next weekend. It's probably the most fun I've ever had on the track.

Hope to see you out there soon.

All the best,

Rick

Sounds good. Maybe we'll see you at Mid Ohio.

The current body style 6.0 (the only engine available, unfortunately, due to emissions laws) is notably better.
I wonder why the Denali XL has lowest towing capacity of all the GM SUVs yet it has the largest motor, the 6.2L, which is only available in the Denali line? Even the 3/4 ton Suburban and non-Denali 3/4 ton Yukon XL don't get the 6.2L. Strange.

My trailer is about 6,500 lbs loaded.
I had the 2000 version of this truck and even with 100k miles it towed 7000# well, but it did have the NLA 4.11 gear ratio option. My 2011 version with a smaller gear ratio tows just as well but gets 30% worse mpg. Going to the dealer next week to see if there to see if there is some kind of programming issue and will report back.

I have wondered about that myself and can only surmise that since the 6.2 is the "stroker" version of the 6.0 it does not develop as much torque.
