Default Cobra Sebring Pro Seat

I am trying to figure out what driver's seat I am going to buy for my race car. The Cobra Sebring Pro fit well (tight but comfortable) but seemed to flex a lot. The seat was not mounted...I just sat in it while it was on top of a solidly built wood box.

The sales person told me the seat needs to be mounted solidly to get a true sense of how stiff it really is. I don't want to feel the seat flexing while I am driving!

So, those of you that have this seat of have experience with this seat mounted in a car, how much does it flex? Does it fell real solid when you are sitting in it?

Thanks,

Scott

I had a Cobra seat a few years back. I bought it from Sube Sports in Huntington Beach, and it was a very nice seat. The back will flex a little, but if you use a seatback brace, this may reduce some of the flex. Understanding this, all of the seats will flex somewhat.

Check out the video to see what I mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HW9u7DPWQHw

Otherwise, Cobra makes a nice seat.

I've had a couple of them, and I like them a lot. I haven't noticed any problems with them flexing.

I've got a Sebring Pro GT, I haven't noticed any significant flexing. The seat does need to be properly mounted to feel how stiff it is. If it fits you I'd say go for it.

Okay, it is down to the Cobra Sebring Pro and the Racetech RT4009HR. I just have to see which seat fits me better.

Where is the best place to buy the Cobra Sebring Pro? I am looking for the best price.

Subesports is the Cobra NA distributor, try them or a local business. Pricing is going to be the same everywhere.

The Cobra Sebring Pro fit the best. I am resigned to the fact I am going to pay retail for the Cobra. Does anyone know of a place that will do free shipping? Thx...

Call around and ask if they'll do free shipping, doesn't hurt to ask.

Bought my Cobra Sebring Pro seat from Jeff at "425 Motorsports" in Bellevue, Washington. Jeff was great to deal with.

I have slightly used Cobra Suzuka Technology 2003 XL, no rips tears whatsoever, like new BUT if you are racing you will need back brace
PM me if interested and I will send over pics.
