Well, I guess I put off doing anything on this for a while. I just received a pair of Alpinestars Tech 1zx that I got on closeout. From the looks of them, I doubt they will last as long as my last pair with leather palms. But since the price was reduced the pain I feel if they fail early will be lessened.

SafeRacer is pushing out AlpineStars, I just got a pair and they seem (seam?) nice.

I'm buying a set of Stand 21 to replace my Alpine starts that have fallen apart. . Which ones do i get? I don't want sparco as their gloves have fallen apart on me too

I use the Stand 21 outside seams 1 (full leather palm). Love 'em. Great feel and smooth!

If they get hard, you can just refurbish them by rubbing them with baby oil!

My last pair lasted over 3 years and I never had to refurbish them (wore a hole in the thumb).

I've used the Daytona out seams for a number of years. Not as comfortable as the full leather palm outseams but more comfortable than any other nomex palmed glove.

Used them in everything from Cup cars, PFMs, Spec Racers to FF.
