2011 Lime Rock Club Race
Unfortunately, I have to book my days off from work several months in advance. I've never run at Lime Rock before (that is aside from iRacing) , and I'm looking at possibly running the club race this year. Would be nice to have some input on the schedule and how easy it is to learn that track. The dates from the PCA website are Friday & Saturday, 29-30 April (looks like no Sunday racing). Is the 29th a practice day like most typical PCA race weekends, and then two sprints on Saturday?
Having never run at LRP before, it would be nice to get another practice day in before the race weekend, but only if unmuffled. Is the DE that is hled on the preceding Thursday (28th) also unmuffled? If not, I guess I'll just have to rely on iRacing to learn the track and make sure I keep checking my mirrors for those sub-one-minute spec boxsters.
Also, any recs on hotels?

Glen,
Last year, Friday was for practice and the fun race and we had 2 sprints on Saturday. In 2009, we had practices and the enduro on Friday and 1 sprint on Saturday. Count on a DE day on the Thursday. Last year, the DE day was unmuffled just like the club race event. Not so in 2009.
Not sure what the format (enduro or not... muffled or not) will be in 2011.
Can't help with hotels.

Lime Rock is pretty easy to learn, but takes time to get really fast. Plus, it takes some cojones to be real fast through the Uphill, West Bend, and the Downhill.

I've been here twice. It's one of the better places in the area. By no means the four seasons. I think there are one or two that others may suggest as well.

Does anyone know for sure if the race will be unmuffled or muffled? I'm sure this will be a factor for those thinking about putting it on their race schedule for 2011.
