Default PFC 97 Front pad for 986 (Spec Box) Discontinued

I have been running the PFC 97 pads on my Spec Box. I recently ordered another set of the pads and was told by HRP that the Front pad (PFC0737.97.16.44) is no longer being made by PFC. Strange huh?

I am going to try a set of the 01 compound.

Anyone else running the 97 on their 986?

Not sure if it will work with the PFC 97s or not but before Pagid made a Yellow pad for the front of the Boxsters we just ran the Yellow rear pads on the front of the car. They were a few mm smaller but worked fine. Compare the fronts and rears and see if this is a viable solution for you with the PFC 97s.

Thanks for the offer but I figure I need to start running something different so I might as well start now!

Where did you find the 01s? I've called everyone, most only have rears and PFC said they won't make front 01 or 97 anymore because they sold slowly, unless a vendor can commit to a large order.

If you have an interest, call Apex Performance and let them know your looking, Clark mentioned they might make a batch of 06 and then 01 if there is enough interest from the SPB series. I preferred the 01s to yellows, just a great pad. Now trying out DTC60s.

I've been working with Matt at HRPworld.com.
I seem to remember not getting the 01s before because I was told THEY were not available. I'll keep my progress posted!

No Sebring for me as I am not racing. Maybe another year?
I won't be back on track until April!

We have some 97s and 01s for the standard 986 in stock at OG Racing. You will still be able to get the 97s going forward, but special order only.

Most guys run yeller pads, but I bought what he had left, which might be the last we see for quite a while.

You ready to go head to head with our posse?

Guys

I have two sets of PFC 0776.01.17.44 for sale. I am selling them for $200 per set. I can bring them to Sebring if anyone wants or will ship for free.
