Default Thailand Street race

I've compiled (amateurishly) a vid from the only annual street race we have here and some on board. Commentary is in Thai, but what the heck.

The car is now undergoing transplant. The current engine will go to Michael Mount, who will make it a 360hp plus NA.

Have fun

Yup, the only porsche is my old 944, the beetles have either 2.4 or 2.7 engines and weight next to nothing. So accelerating they do well. Fun though

Well done Henk for making pole position and leading from wire to wire.

Thought I saw the Love Bug in there a few times though.

So you're going to stick with n/a motors for now?

At this moment putting in the re-build 3.0, and this one will be supercharged with the rotrex. Should be up and running year end. meanwhile building the NA fire breather since that suits my competition class better for next year. After that will see again.... have you seen Michael's engine pics?

It is a little strange to see Super Beetles out there racing. Very cool! Every drive to work and back should be like that!!

Yes I saw the thread recently. His builds look very nice although I'm a bit skeptical of the hp claims with the specs he provided, but in any case it would be a great motor to race with.

We'll know within a couple of months ;-) But seriously, we're estimating 360hp plus. Engine goes next week, hope to get it back end of feb in time for the season. meanwhile I'll be running the spare engine supercharged.
