Very nice car, Dan. I saw it down here last year I think.

Baron has the track record at Road Atlanta in that car. Are you going to show him how to drive it? Good luck with that. Enjoy. That is going to be a great car.

Welcome to the club of those who know the proper placement for the engine. And enjoy the thrill of knowing how effortlessly the front and rear swap positions.

See, even the 911s are trying to have the engine in the correct position.

Do you need a Porsche to join this club?

^^

I used to know of a Corvair racer with SCCA back in the 80's. On the belly pan, in case he ever happened to flip the car (which never happened AFAIK..) he had painted in large letters "NADER WAS RIGHT".

I was hinting at a rear-engine alternative (in my signature).

HEY!!! Corvairs were my first Porsche. Thirteen of them, including Yenko Stinger YS066 out of 100 made. I recently found that car again, and it is being run in historic racing out in Colorado. I am praying for heart problems for the current owner (so he can't renew his license, nothing more...) and then so I can buy it back.
My CB "handle" back in the 70's was "The Oil Spot Kid"

My goals for 2011?
More track days.
Fewer spins.
Less brake. More gas.
Remember "on the gas, save your ***"
Faster exits.
Learn how not to drive Flat Out.
Go back to WGI.
Go to Mid-Ohio.
Stay in front of Sneaky Pete.
