I will buy a Ford, I will buy a Ford, I will buy a Ford. If I say it often enough maybe I'll actually believe it.

The deals on FCs recently have been pretty insane and there sure seem to be a lot of them. A 96 VD just sold for $7500, and its track ready.

I just want to get a PCA license and hopefully do the Watkins Glen and NJMP club races. Also need to fix my overheating issues, but those should be solved over the winter.

Hey, good thought. So NASA and SCCA will honor each others licenses? For some reason I thought that NASA honors SCCA, but not the other way around. I actually live in NJ and from what I understand SCCA has many more miatas running than NASA. I also understand from several that have participated that the Wash DC SCCA school is the best around. Just trying to put the pieces together.

I have heard of Bertil Roos and that is a good thought. I wonder if anybody has recently been to them.

Hey, if you are heading to the DC SCCA in March I may see you there. If I can just work out some details I might make the event. With a bit of luck it will all work out. I will be really bummed if I cannot make the event, really bummed.

Not damage my car's new paint job nor blow up its new motor... Less over-driving too.

1) Keep the car straight and in one piece
2) Do the Clash
3) Be faster and more consistent
4) Get one more year out of my tired gearbox

I drove to personal bests this season at both the NJMP and Summit PCA club races this past season.
Just a little more car and a little less lift (of my left foot) and I'll be pretty happy.

We may be onto something. Have you tried using your right foot on the gas, left on the clutch?

I hope that for you too, John.

I'd like to make The Clash (first time!) and back to TRAC (second time). Any other added races would then just be a bonus.

And I'd also like to go one weekend without brake issues or leaving a piece of my exhaust out on the track.

FWIW, I've seen some exhaust setups where they've welded small tabs to either side of a pipe junction, and then fitted with a spring between the tabs, to hold it together.
