Street systems are designed to work in a variety of conditions (rain, snow, dirt, etc) with the emphasis on vehicle stability and drivability over optimum brake performance, and they aren't necessarily designed to operate under the conditions that we see in a converted race car (with much higher potential levels of deceleration) and with drivers who can handle more extreme levels of car rotation. A motorsport ABS will use algorithms that are much more specific to the track environment and will emphasize braking performance (optimizing wheel slip levels at each corner of the vehicle at the expense of allowing higher levels of car rotation/instability). This car will have much better braking capabilities, but will also require more driver skill to handle it. The pinnacle would be a Bosch M4 unit, which includes a bunch of different cockpit selectable algorithms for different conditions.
