Building a 3.0 Liter 8 valve Non-Turbo 944?
Through various purchases, I have ended up with an extra, headless 968 Shortblock. Has anyone built a Non-turbo 8 valve 3.0 Liter. I was thinking of building one for the NASA GTS2 class. I have a 2.7 liter head and was wondering what compression ratio I would end up with, using the stock pistons. I was thinking that an 8 valve engine would have better low end torque, but lose on high end horsepower to the 16V.
Is this a crazy idea? I also have a couple of S2 engines so I always have the 16V option.
