Amazing footage and interesting to see the different interpretation of rules and what each manufacturer believed would be their best shot at success in terms of chassis, engine and aero.

The mix of turbo and naturally aspirated engines definitely made things more exciting, the Rosberg vs. Villeneuve battle in 1982 for example.

That was the one I thought most interesting of this batch. If you look at the difference in the two cars (aside from the engine difference) it showed a HUGE difference in aero style. Gilles had very little rear wing, especially for a street circuit, where Rosberg had a wing configuration that is still in style today and more of it. It seemed to definitely help Keke with downforce in the braking zones.

It doesn't get any better than Villeneuve and Arnoux but Villeneuve and Pironi gets the nod for same/equal cars and ignoring team orders.
