Default Aiptek GVS and wide angle lens- which one?

I had the Sunpak but it was a waste of money.

Did a search and found some info but the link to the Raynox lens had expired.
TIA

At BH - the best for camera stuff:
RAYNOX
This is the .7x which I use HERE It gets the whole windshield, so for me wider is not nescessary. They also make a wider .5x lens HERE if your camera is closer to the dash....

I have a Raynox but it is for the older Aiptek HD, if I can find it (and it fits) I will sell cheap. I use mine out the back window and don't want the wide angle. Mine is held on by a magnet and has to be taped to actually stay in place..

I use the same Sony that used to thread into the lens of my now-departed Sony Mini-DV camera. The model # is VCL-0625 S. I attached it to the Aiptek using electrical tape and it has survived several races so far.

Here is some footage from Road Atlanta.

Mine is the 0.5x. It clips onto the Aiptek camera, no need for magnets and tape...

The pre-GVS models have a smaller lens diameter. The wide angle adaptors for these are magnetic ring models that NEED tape for in-car apps.

The GVS model has a larger lens diameter. The Raynox clamp-on style works for these.

We use the "Digital Optics" 0.45 wide angle on our Aiptek and it's great.

Here's video of this weekend's NASA race at Putnam with that setup:

I just saw this... I have this if anybody wants it... Make me an offer...

Raynox QC-505 "SNAP-ON" Wide Angle Camcorder Conversion Lens for all filter sizes from 27mm to 37mm.

Used only once on my Aiptek 1080p Action-HD GVS video camera. In factory box with instructions and little plastic bag for the lens.
Cheers,
