Your rehearsal dinner restaurant was one of the clues on the ramble!

1. Smoothness and safety
2. Keep the right line
3. Listen my instructor

Any big "DONT's" and "DOs"?
- tire pressure during an event
- should I take spare front and rear tires with me?
- any "warming" or "cooling" procedures?
- extra pair of underwear?

Thank you all for valuable inputs. Safe driving!
Ill be there also if you need anything at the track. I think I'm in garage 22. My car # is 123, gold 996 aero. Stop by.

Thanks! The rumor is true - I'm off the market.

Great day yesterday! The Wacing Wabbit had its first spin with me. Let me tell you, spinning a front wheel drive car is different, it doesn't spin, it bounces.

Sorry I didn't see this thread sooner, I would have made it a point to find you!

Interesting - our younger son drove the Mini at NHMS, but of course he didn't spin (better not; it was his first day and it would have been a major embarrassment for me!).
Any tips for how to handle a spinning fwd car (other than don't)?

Used to have an '83 Rabbit GTI. Fun car! Autox'd it a bunch, but never tracked it. AFAIK, throttle was usually the remedy if the rear started to step out. Basically use the throttle to pull the car where you wanted to go. But on the other hand.....it was the easiest car I ever drove for doing handbrake turns.

Great event! Saw a bunch of people, met some new ones. Dave and Irene were flying in the Pawxster! Gratton was crawling in the rabbit.

Another great event put on by NCR. The weather was perfect for late fall in New England. I had a blast kicking the snot out of my Mini.

I prefer HOPPING in the Rabbit!

As for not spinning the car, the back end can easily come around on these things, but the way to fix it is to just use more gas. I came off the gas to get the car to rotate and didn't get back on it fast enough I guess. I was also trying a new line when it happened and I wouldn't be shocked if I hit something slick as it came around without any warning and it usually gives you a heads up before it goes. Oh well, it was a learning experience. GOOD TIMES!

It WAS a great event indeed! NCR does a great job.

Brian had Irene and I over for dinner the night before the event. He has a wonderful family and wonderful view of the NH landscape. And the food was great too!

Nice to see so many Rennlisters....I'd say about a dozen of us were there including the legendary John D.

BTW Matt,...was that you in the Chiquita 914 spinning in front of me? Slip on a peel? Glad to see that your knee is better.

I had a bearing noise that got progressively louder in the 2nd day. Kenny Conway was nice enough to take my car back on his trailer to work on my car as I type this. So now I have a hopped up Subaru STi on my trailer out front.

Great event-nice job on the weather NCR! I hope you can pull it off next April. Do they have snow plows at the track?? Great to see some familiar faces, hope it won't be next summer before we see them again.

I was the only one doing donuts in the bananamobile, so it must have been me. I'm a little disapointed the 3 liter doesn't have enough muscle to keep the tires blazing while I rotate around.

You were cranking right along as I watched you go by!
