Patrick you might as well throw in driver adjustable sway bars to go with your idea.

I'm gonna run the WTW worksheet from Ozzie 'Race Car Technology" and see how that works out

Sure, throw them in too. Unless there is either a rule prohibiting this, or you can't run the cables that far (not that it's far anyway), then I can't see why this couldn't be implemented? Am I being ridiculous?

Absolutely not ridiculous. If your class allows these mods and the driver can use them to good effect go for it. Kelly Moss used to have the driver adjustable sway bars and would be the first place to check with for these. I have seen them on a 944/968. Good luck.
