But what else did you do- have you detailed somewhere your Jenny Craig weight loss program?
Do I have to give up cheesecake?
Never give up the cheesecakeor chocolate or Margaritas ....

In no particular order:

Glass front bumper
Dump fans and associated shrouding
OEM fenders(glass isn't much lighter) but minimal linings.
No under tray for trans or motor
glass hood, no shocks or badge
680 series motorcycle battery
1/4" Lexan windshield, 1/8 " rear with aluminum clips
1/4 window OEM as they don't weigh anything
CF roof skin
Pared wiring harness down to 8 circuits, loss of 43 lbs
Removed dash, using AIM dash and a few switches including ignition.
Recaro Pro Hans glass seat & sliders. Could lose another 12 lbs. with CF seat
Very light glass doors & cup mirrors
Glass deck lid and cup wing
No mufflers or cats. 3.8 manifolds to Fabspeed cat delete to OEM tips which I should remove as they're a few lbs. each
BBS scalloped E88 9's & 11's.
Yoko slicks since they're 2-3 lbs lighter than Hoosiers per tire.

I weight 160 w/gear which is an advantage. Car is actually closer to 2420 empty but I didn't want to alarm my competitors. I had to run at 2735 at Miller last weekend which required a second seat, full 24 qt cool suit, and a full tank. Hated it and apparently my motor wasn't too thrilled either. Looking at replacing it with a 997-3.6 tuned to 290-300.....

I've done many of those things but no poly or CF yet and I'm 173 but before suiting up.
Which doors and hood did you go with and what sized Yokos? I'm just moving from R6's and was dithering over Michelins or Hoosiers.

Hood is from Getty, doors are custom fiberglass and lighter than CF or Getty's. My wrench has them made at $1k per set and they fit well.

The Hoosiers are $500. per set less expensive than Michelins and are just as good. I run Yokes for their generous contingency with NASA and POC. Sizes:
Yokes I run 250/650/18 up front on 9's, 285/650/18 rear on 11's.
With Hoosier I go even wider: 265/645/18 fronts on 9.5's, 305/650/18 rears on 11.5's. I had them on at Miller for the Nationals last weekend and they were pretty incredible....

I'm running 255 and 315 R6s on 9/12" wheels. The Yoko 250 and 320 is the closest match in size but I think 315 is really the limit so may stick with the Hoosiers (but go to the slicks).

Did your wrench break the mold on the doors?? I might want to talk with him.

That 320 Yoko rear is an inch wider than the 305 Hoosier and I doubt you could fit it in there even on your 12" rim. The 265/305 Hoosier's I run are almost identical in size to the R6's you run so they'll fit just fine.....

"Dan at thespeedgallery dot com" for the doors.....

265/645 is very very slightly narrow than 255/35

i have 9.5 and 12" wheels
as jrg said, hoosier 265 and 305 is right on,
very addictive.

David.

I have a spare C2 Tranny out of my old Koni car. They are supposed to be checking the gearing in it... May be an option.

On the other hand I hear that Cup cars are dirt cheap these days. A very fast car with low hours I am sure it could go for $65K, I know I could talk "the owner" into it...

My exhaust went on a crash diet a while back- the rest of the car just needs to catch up:
