Default NASA/PDA Monticello Motor Club 9/17/10

Nice safe event with a full mix of driver skillls. 160 cars. I'm still having movie maker / Youtube upload problems so here is a short post from HPDE 3 group on vimeo. Open passing with a signal in Advanced & Instructor group. Some faster than the eye can see. http://vimeo.com/15069210. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R76KIq9BGMc Youtube Instructor run cut short before track flow opened.

...but sometimes the signal took a loooooong time coming and sometimes it didn't come at all. That black turbo looks suspiciously familiar! Nice to finally meet you Bob. Did you ever get a clean run in the afternoon? I took Ashley out on one and it was pretty good, the NASCAR trucks notwithstanding.

It was a fantastic event! Really enjoy instructing/running with NASA/PDA.

The instructor's run group was fine -- except for the first run, where it was like a Green run group train the whole session. (I guess that scared everyone out of the Instructor group - which freed up the track for folks like me who conintued to run in that group!)

Perhaps some of the signals were so fast they weren't visible to the naked eye. It the afternoon the Instructor group opened up well. There were some trains in HPDE 2, 3 which encouraged more use of the blue flag. There was a different mix of drivers & skills attending this event but everyone had fun. I had some nice runs at the end of the day and will post some footage. Really nice meeting you Brian- any invites left on you score card for this year?
