I'm in Duncan.
best is a 1:23.5 with used Hoosiers. So we should be very close. that's good since the racing there has been average this year. most of my usual buddies have either crashed or missed the race for various reasons. in fact i've considered other racing venues for more competition, but just can't beat Hallett for cost, consistency of schedule, and geographic proximity

Surprised by the poor 'looking' track surface in parts. Layout seems good. Nice part of the country.

Patrick, the track surface leaves alot to be desired. On the other hand, it is pretty grippy in the wet!

Hallet is my home track as well. I'd echo the above sentiments. Great group of people that run the track. Unpretentious, fun, no BS environment. That why I keep coming back.

track surface is pretty good actually, desite the appearance. the grip level doesn't change from one color patch to another.

I agree. The track might not look beautiful, but the grip is consistent throughout. And if it's good in the rain... I may just have to make it up there for a rain race! I love the rain.

1:23.5 is great. Ill have my work cut out for me. We will see how it goes. I may get to know the rear of a BMW bumper really well

It's just all the constant pavement undulations & fecking bumps.

I used to drive a grey 997 when I first started doing DE's. I've been in the green 996 for the past couple of years. I've never had a silver one.

Builds charicter...

On a serious note, its a fairly slow track so its not as intrusive as it would be at a much faster track.

The black patches in corner 4/5 and 10 actually are grippier in the dry.

Why not come play with us in NASA? You would have what, a GTS-3 car? I think you'd find the competition you are looking for.

thanks for the invitation. I tried one NASA race 2 years ago at the first of the year, and it was way crowded at MSR. my car was troubling me so I didn't even start any races.

I may think about NASA again next year, esp if I build a spec 944 or get a spec boxster
