Good for them. Way less taxes and better climate. I escaped New England 40 years ago. The only thing I missed was lobster rolls and clams down the Boston way.

Eh...its just moving their repair facilities basically. Maybe LimeRock can turn those garages into rentals and bring some life to the dead LRP Club. The HQ of Skippy school are still staying in CT though.
I wonder what will be in the garages at LRP?

Likely that the LRP trackside shop is staying to support LRP programs and just the shop in town at the Lakeville HQ where they mfg the cars and make the more serious repairs (rebuilding framed cars) is moving. Road Atlanta SBRS has a much better facility than Lakeville does. With production and repair out of Lakeville I wonder how much longer the office will be there too. That should move to Atlanta too.

FWIW, Kelly's now has indoor sit down restaurants (Saugus, Danvers and Natick) in addition to the original on Revere Beach.
Years ago at Revere Beach, only men could work at Kelly's, no women were allowed; they worked at Kelly's Kreme down the beach from Kelly's.
Now at the restaurants, they allow men and women. Same great food.
Growing up as a kid, the current owner of Kelly's was our neighbor. Very nice guy. He used to bring home the roast beef ends from the slicers and give them to my German Shepherd. Needless to say, my dog protected his yard and our yard.

Skip Barber himself sold the school several years ago but I believe he still owns Lime Rock. Ran into him last January at the RM Auction in Phoenix- had a nice chat after I recognized him walking by me...
(had to tell him I had been to his school and lapping days many years ago and had thoroughly enjoyed myself...)

It isn't a fried clam without the belly...and a little bit of sand. The beach has changed, but Kelly's hasn't.
