And a great place to buy the Rejex wax is from site sponsor Eric at www.bumperplugs.com. A great contributor to the Porsche community.

Does anybody have any recommendations for a strong and durable wax or other paint protectant?
It seems like:
1. carnuba wax might be good for somebody who wants a super shiny looking car but that
2. a two part wax (like Zaino's) would be better if you were more concerned about durability in a harsh environment like the track (brake dust from track pads) or dirt roads.
The concourse look does not interest me. I'd rather spend most of my time driving. At the same time, I'd like to know that my paint is safe under all the nasty stuff.
I have single stage paint if it matters.

You have two options.
1) clear bra
2) Roll of blue painters tape. - This quite popular and seems to work well. You just need ot apply the tape the night before the event.

A good coat of wax certainly helps make cleaning easier. Break dust, rubber marks, etc. all come off easily with a good coat of wax on the car. If durability is a priority, look for a sythetic wax. While carnuba-based waxes look great, they don't last as long. Prima Epic has been my wax of choice for several years. I have yet to find anything that lasts longer. Reasonably priced, too.

Clear bra is the best. If you care about the front end skip the other methods and get it installed. It does not protect well against tire walls or armco.
Most removable clip on type bras tend to cause far more harm that they protect from.
Blue panters tape can leave adhesive on the car if it gets wet. With the advent of water based automotive paints the tape makers have come up with water resistant masking tapes. Yellow is a common color for the new type tape. Works the same as the blue stuff but no mess if it gets wet.

Real men have stone chips.
Actually, put the clear bra on and whatever else happens, happens.
There is so much "blue tape" everywhere, at one event someone commented about 4 cars that were covered in it - "it looks like the blue man group is here!"
