Default 24 Hours of Le Mans - 2010

The race is only a couple of weeks away so I thought I'd start a thread for it. The official entry list has been released:

http://www.lemans.org/en/races/24h/entry-list.html

The list includes the usual suspects from the ALMS, a great line-up of 30 prototypes including the new Audi R15+, GT1's, factory BMWs in GT2, even Rennlist's own Leh Keen in the Hankook Ferrari. Should be a good one.

Thanks for the information!

It seems that every year there are fewer and fewer Porsche RSRs entered in the race, and certainly no Porsche prototypes this year.

I hope Leh does well.

For Sirius Satellite subscribers, the race will be broadcast. I can't remember the channel, but I'll look it up...

6 RSR's and 5 F430's, Long and Bergmeister are split up. That's a little odd. Seems Porsche are spreading the talent and trying to make sure they don't have another letdown.

The Porsche entries as I see it:
The #88 Felbermayr RSR is the spearhead with Lieb/Lietz/Henzler.
The second tier cars will be the #76 IMSA with Narac/Pilet/Long, the #97 BMS with Westbrook/Holzer/Scheider (Keep an eye on this car) and the #80 Lizards with Bergmeister/Nieman/Law (a shame really)
Finally the third tier cars will be the second Felbermayr car (#77 Felbermayr) and finally the #75 Prospeed

The R15+ looks like conjoined F1 cars. I like it.

Are there any porsche fans that like Pueguot also? Just curious as everyone I talk to can't stand the Peugots.

Was my tivo correct, is Speed going to cover the entire 24 hours?

I set my DVR to record the entire 24 hours. That should take me a good month to watch at the rate I watch TV.

BTW - Good luck Kingleh.

Patrick has a sustained history with the IMSA Matmut team. He told us some pretty good stories about his crew from last year's race during the Patrick Long Driving School sponsored by Glen Gatlin. ..."le cut, le cut!"
