I can't even fathom what the lure is to this ludicrous event. Who cares if you can drive your race car on the street? And why would you pay $500 to do it? They've apparently got a hell of a spin doctor on this thing, to say that year one was so great. It sucked. They had less than two events, both cut short in the face of near tragedy. They never gave anything close to a prize, they just took the money and ran, after clearing the carnage. Now they say they're going to limit it to 500 participants? Who are they kidding? And what does that equate to, a single 15 second run?

Default The Naysayers at it again, you need to check facts before hating

I see that Mr. Frank Celenza and the naysayers are at it again.

Why not actually read some of our materials, come to an event, or even learn about the amounts of money we have given to Cancer patients and a Veteran and Town Father in Tuxedo, NY.

No, much easier just to throw stones at a good idea.

For wrecks, you might just want to go to You Tube and search track days or better yet, races on closed tracks.

We have had 8 incidents in over 400 runs on closed public roads. I would take these safety odds anyday.

Check the facts before hating.

Thanks.

I was there, I saw, I could have been killed, I can't believe others weren't, I could post pictures of your gruesome wrecks, it's a dumb idea, it does our sport no good whatsoever, and it's Dr. Celenza to you.

seriously?
That's one incident (and from what I hear not simple fender-benders) every 50 runs.
