Default 24 Hours of Lemons - New England

Matt Romanowski was on our NCR-PCA Team and he hurt his knee and can't drive. Anyone interested in taking his spot? July 24-25 in Stafford Springs, CT and the buy in is $400 (maybe a little less). If you are interested in a fun filled weekend with some Porsche folks let me know.

Anyone ever done Lemons?

They are having one here in CT!?!? I take it they don't allow cup cars? From what I've seen, something like your avatar would be best (lots of crushable metal).

Good Morning,
I wouldn't dare put the General in Lemons!!!! But seriously, we are running a '97 VW GTI that is being set up by Mark Nadler @ Exotech. Would love to get one more person, or at least a cheering section.

go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lemons is very entertaining racing for not much $$$..... I highly recommend it for any "racer" however the only caveat is they are VERY strict about on track conduct....do not touch another car, do not spin or go off track...if you follow those rules you will have a good time.....if not you are destined to an interesting time with the "judges"

Great to hear you'll be doing it as well! My team will be right in there with you -- E=MR2 Racing!

We're drivin' an 86 MR2 I actually prepped for the Lemons race at Thunderhill back in 2008. Unfortunately, there were something like 200 applicants and my team was not one of those picked.

But this time around, we got accepted! Very excited.

I am a little put-off that the NE Lemons race doesn't have any practice sessions. Oh well, the Stafford track looks very straightforward, judging from past videos I've been watching on Youtube!

Actually, this prompts a question: will there be any PCA DE's coming up in June/July? I'd like to get our team to a couple with the MR2. That is, I'm assuming that PCA members driving non-porsches is still kosher? Not sure how y'all run things up here!

[QUOTE=Jay Gratton;7586444]'97 VW GTI that is being set up by Mark Nadler @ Exotech. QUOTE]

I thought paying for people to "set up the car" was outside the rules.

Mark is also driving the car and we are not paying him, so that falls in the rules. We are running the oval, but we are running both parts of the infield and there is bus-stop on the back straight!

Colin,
We are at LRP on June 2nd and would love to see you there. I am thinking about doing some AX with the GTI in July and if you show up that should be cool. We need to set up close together in the pits for sure. We should do one of two things here; work together or talk a lot of smack! I vote for both!!!!!
