Colin,
We are at LRP on June 2nd and would love to see you there. I am thinking about doing some AX with the GTI in July and if you show up that should be cool. We need to set up close together in the pits for sure. We should do one of two things here; work together or talk a lot of smack! I vote for both!!!!!

Oh Smack Talking is a must! But yeah, let's definitely paddock nearby one another. We'll be the nerdy team of engineers from MIT wearing white lab coats...
Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the event in early June but I'm hoping there will be something in late June/early July that we'll be able to participate in.

We're all paid up and ready to rock! Hopefully you guys made the deadline as well?
Yeah I've been looking at the NCR schedule and an autox for the MR2 sounds good. How do they function here? So, way back before I got into HPDE's and the like, I did autox for a number of years with the SCCA. Ultimately, however, I got very tired of it, as waiting/working for 4hours followed by 40 seconds of seat time no longer sounded appealing.
However, once I started doing autox'es with the PCA back in Arizona, I was pleasantly surprised when I found out many of them were continuous lapping, and for 20 minute sessions on real tracks, no less!
Anyway my point is, I've seen it done a number of different ways. How does the PCA up here do it?
Gettin' excited!

We get about 8 runs a day. Yes, we do have to work, but the courses are about 2 minutes long.
We are all paid and in as well. Now we just need to get the car done!

ahhh grasshopper, we will dominate your front wheel shiessbox, for our team of one lappers, affectionately known as Gilligans Bad Dream Team is sporting the classic german boat, the forlorn and misunderstood 1979 928

The course is almost simply an autox sized track so not sure if the 928 will really be that much faster than a smaller / lighter GTI. When the GTI drives in reverse it is in essence a 911 anyway.

Anyone ever done Lemons?
https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...ghlight=lemons
Same team did the Chump Car event at VIR in April.

IMHO Chump Car was a vastly better experience since there were no BS penalties, no judges, no curse, etc. I would say Lemons is fun if you're out of the car and Chump Car is fun if you're in the car. Good luck and have fun!

Wonder what I can do to help from afar. I'm thinking of buying a cool suit kit so we can use that to stay cooler while out racing. It gets hot in there especially for 40 mins+ and on a shorter course you will be working harder.

I think they're going to limit us to only 30 min per driver, correct?
I just hope it's not terribly humid the day(s) of the race...
Well, we've only got a few (hopefully) small issues to sort out with our car, but won't be able to get to them for a couple weeks! Our plan is to do the Autox on the 17th of July.

At the Dallas race last weekend it was 100*+ both days. In the drivers' meeting there was a doctor that recommended 30 minute stints, but it was not a rule. The top teams were doing ~2 hr stints IIRC.
