Good shop near Winchester, VA?
Looking for recommendations for a shop to do a PPI in or near Winchester, VA. I understand that it's ~30 min from Summit, so someone here might have some experience. Thanks.

Dave and the guys at Performance Auto Works know a little about Porsches
Seriously, give them a call. Good group of guys who know our cars well.

I am not sure. Billy Ring and Rich Gwizdale (my employers) worked at the "Deliverance Garage" owned by Dave Coleman for ten plus years. They did not work for Dave Coleman, but rented space at his shop to operate their own businesses. When Gasoline Alley opened here at Summit Point, Billy and Rich realized that this is where their customers were and where they need to have their shop. We have been here at Gasoline Alley for several years and we hope to be here for years to come to help our customers.
Dave Coleman is extremely knowledgable on the Porsche cars (and cars in general) and has been a huge part of our education. However Dave is "retired" and wanting to do his "own thing". He is a separate business from Performance Auto Works,LLC.
Please let us know how we can help.
cheers

Dave - it was a few years back, maybe you weren't up and running yet? I believe it was Billy that worked on my car. It all started when it blew off a breather line and after I put it back on the car ran fine for about 5 minutes a session and then would start dying. Told Billy the hose story and he looked at it and figured it was the fuel filter so he changed it. Then he thought he should drain the gas and check the gas screen. That was a bit messy but he did it and it was ok so back to the track I went. Next day, same thing. Brought it home and when my shop looked at it they immediately saw that I had shoved the breather hose onto a perfect sized fitting on the airbox. Only problem is that is a blank (no hole) and it belonged on the oil filler pipe! See if Billy remembers, was a Signal Yellow SC..
