I just noticed, somebody is running a 2010 GT3 RS, and there is a F430 as well, but these two cars are getting killed by an old Corvette, two Nissans and our favorite Leh's GT2.

In the right hands more power always wins. Leh/GT2 is a tough to beat combo!! Go Leh!
Did anyone really thought an RS could be faster than a GT2? Easier to drive, yes, but faster?

Fast GT2, but even faster driver! Leh is one of my favorites! Nice job.
I thought Leh told me 34's. Which is smoking fast for street tires with the chicane. (prob worth 3 seconds)

Anyone want to take a guess at the trap speed of the drag race? I would guess....128mph and 11.8 Et

Even if the GTR wins the drag, they can pretty much count on wins at Mid-Ohio and New Jersey, 2 tracks Leh has a lot of time on.

The chicane is worth 10-12 extra seconds at Road America. It is not only the time spent on the chicane itself, but the braking you need to do before entering it, and the way lower exit speed at the end of the chicane, compared to a flying lap from turn 10 to turn 12.

That should put Leh (2:34s with chicane) at around 2:22 to 2:24 on street tires, and 2:18-2:20 on a Hoosier A6. Smoking Fast !

A stock 997 GT2 (530Hp) traps at 127mph, so this car should trap around there.

When the car was in stock form with 19's on it I drove it 11.9ish @ 120...so it should go a little faster than that now...and Leh might...just might be a little better than me....maybe

Here is another picture for you guys.

Geoff in the 2010 RS is a good driver but not in Leh/Popp/Corcoran class. That old vette has an LS7 with a few mods and Dan has run the One Lap for app 20 years he knows the tracks and his car. Danny Popp is just crazy. The 430 is an unknown.

The car just went 11.6 @ 128 to take 5th in the drag event. The GTR took 2nd behind the 997tt.

I'm not great at this points thing but I am pretty sure that puts us tied for first. (Correct me if i am wrong)

I will leave the details for Doug and Leh to post.

Quick phone update: no practice run we ran a 11.6@128mph with a horrible 2.08 sixty. With a better launch the car should go much faster. Bracket race was a was as the top cars all were knocked out at the same time.

Well I just wrote out this big long thing about the drag race. But erased it by accident bec@ause I'm tired.

We r on the way to st louis. Getting close. Eta is 1:30

Clifs notes are. I guessd a little too grippy for the track and it didn't hook. Wheel hoppd. I let off to not break anything.

?stock? 997 tt pdk went 10,9 at 125. 1.5 60'!!!!!

we just won the morning session at Gateway.. but the GTR was within 2 seconds... They turned up the power on the car and the track was dusty and infield was slow/tight... So the GTR was working well in the conditions.. But managed to squeeze out the win... but unsure about the afternoon session... Hopefully the track is cleaner and we might make some adjustments...

the banking is FUN!.. video coming soon... You will be able to see the green slick conditions..

here is vid from Hallet... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOEhDYbZ3Pw

In the Hallet vid you can see the car is working pretty well!..

XWon both sessions today. But we broke a rear sway bar and that rippd the left axle boot. And part of it fell off.

So right now we are heading to Cleveland to a buddys shop to weld the bracket back together. Our eta is 1am. Then Doug will weld the bracket back together and we will head to mid ohio.

We have a temp fix on the boot to make it last. WE HOPE.

Odly enough we were paddockd next to Kurt Gibson. Natiinal President of PCA. So I need to thank him. He connected me with some folks that we may have needed if the problem was a little worse..
