After watching a lot of video on the web of club racing and DE I thought I'd try an video angle borrowed from the skiers and dirt bikers. I haven't seen it used here so I thought you might enjoy. The lap is at Sebring during a Chin Motorsports DE and I have a well known Pro Coach in the car with me...

The helmet cam gives a good view of the rear view mirror as well, not that there was anyone behind you but it is interesting to watch when there is someone back there.

I really like the helmet cam angle. Great driving by the way...flat through Bishops...nice!
Even though I do not race my next investment is a pro coach and it would be an honor for me to be able to have the guy you had. AWESOME!

Definitely an angle I'm going to have to try this weekend. I just picked up a ContourHD and am curious to see how it compares with the GoPro.
Did you try any other angles on the helmet? It looks like you've got it even with your line of sight, so we get a view of exactly what your seeing which is awesome.

GoPro just reduced pricing on the regular WIDE angle model to $149. However, the HD has been our best seller.

No remote access right now - you have to press the button on the front of the camera to start and stop recording. There was talk about them doing a keychain remote control setup but not sure if that is still in the works.

Picked up the contour HD to use for downhill mtb. Tried it on a goggle mount skiing and a fixed mount on one of our cars for Sebring and a Vir race. Unreal picture quality, compared it to Go-Pro at track and Chase Cam in our other car. Contour HD was hands down the winner in picture qualty, you can't go wrong with that choice or the less expensive Go-Pro. Only wish my $1500 Chase Cam was HD! Soon!

Brinkley- Which mount did you use on your helmet? Did it come in the "Motorsport" package?

Great camera angle and nice down shifts.
