I have 93 C2 dedicated track car with LWF and stock clutch. It looks like I need to replace my clutch, throw out bearings and pressure plate. I’m looking to see if I should stick with a OEM parts or upgrade to something better. My car runs as a prepared G under PCA.

Let me know your recommendations.

If you don't street drive it, go with the puck style RSR clutch disk & flywheel. Much less inertia to speed up shifting and the clutch really grabs.

Dave +1 on Larry response. Check out Tilton. It make all the difference!

The puck style RSR clutch is a Porsche Motorsport part. The Tilton 7" setup is even better as far as grip & quick shifting go and easier to pull the trans but tougher to drive in the pits and more expensive.

Unless you are die hard, I would stay away from multi-plate clutches, such as a Tilton. I have a 997 Cup 5.5" Sachs triple plate (not to be confused with multi -puck) in my 993 which is a direct bolt in and it is great out on track but in the pits not so much. With one of these you also have to winch the car on the trailer as they are so grabby and easy to stall that you have to slip them to death to get them up the ramps. I.E. over 3k rpm. End result is you can kill one in 3 trips up the trailer so unless you are fine with the draw backs and have a good winch on your trailer, I would stay with a single plate clutch.
