Recent Tire purchase - and return.
I blew an S02 on a 18x10 wheel on the 928. Daily driver stuff, no big deal. I always buy pretty performance-oriented tires, as its sunny and warm here... most of the time.
I picked Yokos "S. Drive" tires.
Oh. My. Lord. HORRIBLE tire. It felt, at mfg pressures, like they were flat. As if I were running around on under inflated spares. I cannot exaggerate this.
Now, honestly, I am a hard-tire guy. The flat S02 was only collapsed to half its sidewall height - at 0 pressure - that is a hard sidewall - but these new yokos were just ridiculous.
I went back to discount tire and they asked no questions other than to check the pressure. Monday, the tires I ordered to replace these should be in - Dunlop star specs. 275s and 245s. Wish me luck with the new set. Until then I am afraid to drive too much on the Yokos, as I don't want them to look worn.
