Default My open wheel racing career is going nowhere.

Ever want to know what a 6'6" 250#+ dude looks like in a formula car?
Note - In this photo, I am sitting in the seat 100%. I could not go any lower. tHink I'd pass the broomstick test? Funny thing, the dude from Skip Barber kept telling me they have a car that fits me. Riiiight.

I'd request a 1 lap head start -- clearly you have an aero disadvantage.

Last summer I did a "Intro to the Formula Renault" driving class at the Allen Berg Racing School and one of my student peers was huge. I am not sure if I should be posting pictures of him here while he was in the car, but it was funny. I am sure he had fun though. Those cars sure are fun to drive.

You are pretty tall for it, but you are not "in" the seat. You're back is way off. You'd still be too tall, but not as bad as it looks.

Anyone remember what they had to do to Chris Kneifel's cars in CART way back when?

Take off your hat and you'll be OK. ;-)

I looked into some of the schools a few years ago, too, and ran into the same problem (I'm 6'5"). I got the 'yeah, we think you'll fit' response a lot. 'Fitting' and fitting well enough to actually drive the car are 2 different things.

Maybe you could drive the Viper instead???

Where does your mom put the quarter to start the ride? Is that a supermarket in the backround?

Yes they have a car that you would fit in, it's the red one in the backround.

I think you're missing an opportunity! Your head is at a perfect height to mount a wing, up in clean air you could get a flying nun habbit and get some serious downforce at the polar center of the car... Depending on the angle of your head you could adjust the downforce as needed... Does Hans make a zero degree model? I see some cutting edge stuff here!...

Now if I can fit in a late 90's Indycar, you can fit easily in that one

Couldnt move my arms or my feet, but I was in there
