Default SPEC BOXSTER Rental at Watkins Glen Race

I am thinking about taking a second Boxster to rent for the weekend. Anyone interested? We should have 10+ Spec Boxsters at this race.

For the Watkins Glen race you are looking at $3500.

Six of our cars are going to make the event, we are working on the driver of our seventh build now. This is going to be a blast. Had dinner with Mike I. and Tim C. Saturday night and this will be a race to watch. The trash talking has started!

I'll conceed a 4th on saturday since I wont be there friday to qualify so that means I start at the back. Im thinking Hard Charger award for Saturday's 1st sprint and a 1st in the 2nd sprint. Then we'll see how Sunday goes.

Is that pretty much how you see it too Charlie?

I'll let you know how I see it after LRP. I don't know how to measure up folks like Dolbow and Mike I. (won't try to spell his last name...). If Peare shows up in a SPB car for WG, that'll be another podium spot nearly spoken for.

No matter how things turn out it should be a real blast to have a bunch of us out there in "equal" cars.

It's going to be a fun class to watch. Unlike the older stock classes which have a mix of original and rebuilt motors (to varying specs ) most of these engines should be from the factory still, right? Will you guys rebuild these engines or buy crate motors as a replacement?

Thats a very good question. Anyone care to answer? I personally have the motor in my car, which has about 65K street miles and a back up motor with about 45K miles on it. After that we'll see.
