The bar has been raised, if Peare shows up in a car prep'd at all like the GT cars he used to run. Dolbow also used to wheel the **** out of a GT 914.

SPBOX is looking at a really slippery slope, prep wise.

I might do this for fun. I will already be there with the 997.

What does the $3500 include?

PM me or email cbrown at bmstpa.com

Right now best idea is crate motor, you can rebuild using stock parts but the parts can get pricy. We are looking into other options and hopefully will have a viable alternative soon.

But, is it blueprinting allowed by the rules? if not, then what would be the performance differentiator (other than driver and setup obviously)?

Interesting question. I had thought they were all crate motors.

Just like in spec miata.... some folks use crate motors and some get SunBelt rebuilds... All legal different $s...

As the rules are written currently, yes it is.

Nothing, that's the point of a spec class.

Ok, so not concerned about blueprinting being a factor? I know in CA there's significant performance differences due to engine output (untouched vs blueprinted)

That just might be the tipping point Mitch, I will shoot you an email offline with a few questions as I have not yet run a PCA event.

Oh, well the spec currently allows for blueprinting so I assume we'll all be running blueprinted soon. It only takes one to start the Dominoes toppling...
