Trailer security
Having just ordered a Pace trailer, I am considering security options.
Anyone have any experience with the Escort Entourage system?
No, it would not prevent a theft but would make recovery a great deal easier!
Comments or experience?
Thanks - Marc

I'd give this guy a call. He's often on the open wheel boards. He deals with all levels of trailer security from a little lock up to the latest and greatest GPS.

Marc:
After having my pimped out REALLY nice Featherlite liberated from me (best part I got to watch the dudes take it on video) I elected to harden my storage area. Borrowed heavily from 1600 Penn Ave to include the in your face bollards and some rather nasty surprises if the proper disarming sequence is not taken.
I would suggest having your local sign shop cut numbers/letters to replicate your tag and stick them on the roof (think city bus or cop car). Thats not too expensive and people rarely look up. I used Lojack for tracking/recovery
Last thought install a couple D rings on the inside of your lift gate and then attach your winch cable or ratchet straps and snug up. The rear locks are the most vulnerable and even when they are cut someone will not be able to drop the rear door.
PM if you want some image of what I did.

my new trailer was broken into but they took nothing.
my question to trailer veterans is that what's the most common mode of loss?
they take the whole trailer or they break in and take the items inside.
what exactly are they looking for?
i dont park cars inside the trailer, except in transit.

Mooty:
In my case they rolled up cut the multiple locks with a battery powered grinder with cutoff wheel connected to their truck and were gone slightly more than 60 seconds.
In addition to some other stuff I have done a few local agencys use my facility as a K-9 training area so it is really not very attractive. Picture 10-20 hard-hitters in full tactical gear with K-9's
