CDOC closed at VIR
Don't know if this is an Enzo, but I was at VIR Monday-Tuesday and had planned on buying new front pads while I was there, but come to find out CDOC has closed their doors at VIR. I spoke w/ Tammy and she said they're talking w/ OG Racing and a couple other companies to take over the store before May.
Just wanted to pass along the info.
Cheers, Patrick

Looks like CDOC is still in the main store at NJMP, but F1Karting has taken over the Karting shop. Also, if you have been to the NJ CDOC store, there was not much there, mostly old stock and clearance items. Any word on the CDOC main building in VA? Anyone order recently? Their website has been down a while.
VIR has their own "VIR Store" next to the pro-shop as well, but its more of a merchandise store I believe.

The VIR store is still there, but like you said it's just merchandise. I heard CDOC was having phone problems, but they're still in business. Seems a little suspect that their site is also down. Looks like the economy might have got the best of them.

FYI, their web site is down, and has been for a little while now.

Just to clarify, there are TWO different stores as of 2009, as VIR has its own separate store next to store where CDOC was located. OGRacing also hired Marc Francis recently, who was formerly at CDOC (there was another thread in here about it I believe).

Did they add on to the building? CDOC took over the original Oak Tree Pro Shop or whatever it was called.

What happened was last year, CDOC gave up some of it's space and a 'VIR store' opened up that carried the stuff like Tshirts and stuff that CDOC didn't really care about as much. Cut down on CDOC's rent. Over teh winter, CDOC closed the store down and removed the furnishings.
Right now there are a number of options that VIR is entertaining. It's a tough place to have a store as it's not right down the street from anyone's warehouse so staffing and maintaining inventory are a bit more difficult. Money can be made in the location but it's a tough nut to crack. Just to fill the store up with gear would take roughly 100K investment.
