Talking Barber Porsche Driving School

I have taken everyone's advice and scheduled tonight to go to the Perfromance 2-day event at Barber this Thurs and Friday. I am a newbie and excited to learn. I own a 993 C-4 and a 2010 GT3. Any advice on what to focus on (other than everything) when I am there as well as anything I should definitely bring or not bring would be much appreciated. John

Congrats! Bring a 100% open mind, a closed mouth except for questions, and open eyes & ears. Pay particular attention when the instructors drive you around to what they are doing with their hands & feet, and how relaxed they are (not fighting the car, but rather letting the car do all the work), and not how fast they are going.

I went many years ago at Road Atlanta. Had a blast and learned some basic skills. Don't stress, you'll have a great time too.

Default porsche sport driving

Be prepared for the best time that you've ever had and for the 1st drive of the second day. The instructor will take you into the 1st hairpin and explain what they mean by "brake". Your smile will break your helmet and your skill will immediately improve.
i want to go back.

Just go there with an open mind. You are going to learn a lot. I also suggest that you watch some laps on you tube around Barber. Cass Whitehead one of the PDS instructors has some good video of laps.

I've done the performance, masters, and race license courses. Absolutely fantastic experience.
Great track, great instructors, and a bunch of fellow enthusiasts. What more is there?
