Default Lola LMP1 @ RA last w/e

Gents,
Johan C. had his toys at R.A last w/e with the VDCA. How'd you like to have this in your rear mirror thru turns 2,3,4 and thru the esses? Was a bit intimidating. No place to get out of the way!!!!!!!! He's a real gentleman on the track. BTW, it does sound absolutely glorious as he charges by. The red Lola is John Surtees & Graham Hill's 1966 Can-AM Championship car.

Johan is a great sportsman, just out for fun. What a hoot for me, a Lola LMP car and my 924 on the track together.

My company made the master patterns for that LMP1 cars side pod sills and a section of the center nose (up to the center light). Chris Pratt from Lola is a great person to work with.

When I was at Lola testing another car (on their test track) they had a copy of that car in the lobby.... MY GOD IS IT UGLY! Yet, sure was a fast car.

Not quite sure why they needed the prow of a WW One battleship in the center of the nose.

Guess they needed a tall large divider to split the airflow to the radiator coolers on either side.

Perhaps this is what they had in mind...

The LMP1 spun first lap between T1 and T2 in my session.

I think the driver found out that on cold tires you can't use the paddle shift like a kick down gear on an automatic because the autorev feature will break the rears loose. I bet he really felt stoopid with half of England watching from the pits!

They let him start by himself from the hotpits. I was at the front of the group in pit row. When I came up the hill from T1 he was facing me, stopped on the outside shoulder. I was as surprised as he was (possibly). I expected him to come flying by me in the opposite direction.

I should have in-car video but I don't- camera not on (doh).

Maybe he was lost. I have it on good authority that he has a screw loose!

If he does have a screw loose, where can I get one?? I want three incredible cars, a few helicopters and an RCR transporter. The motor home ain't bad either.
