Default Four Post Car Lift - Advice Wanted

I am looking to purchase a four post car lift for my home garage. Because of space limitations I am looking at narrow moldels that are 100" - 105" wide. I am considering either the Dannmar D-7 or Bend Pak HD-9ST. Does anyone have an opinion on either one if these or know of better lifts for the price.

Is there anyone in the Greater Toronto Area that has one of these or a similar model installed in their garage that would be willing to demonstrate it to me? Much Appreciated. Mick

They argue about lifts like we argue about oil.

I went with Bend Pak after researching it to death. Just had mine installed yesterday. I purchased through Northern Tools.

I went with the Danmar D7. It was one of the narrower ones I could find and the Mercedes still fits under it just fine. Look on Costco's website they have a good price on them.

Hard to call it **** when it works and keeps on working. I will update and call it **** the day I find it sitting on top of the Mercedes. I would love to buy american (same with the Porsche) but hard to find any to choose from made here.

I too am leaning towards Bend Pak. It will cost me about $500 more than the Danmar and was wondering what added value it would provide. Would you mind transfering some of your hard earned research to me. Thanks. Mick

Default lift

redcarman, i almost bought a bendpak and can tell you that when you call bendpak customer service they are great to deal with and if you have a problem or need parts they will take care of you, thats my take on dealing with them. they will answer any question you might have that a reatailer cannot answer. call them, you have nothing to lose and info to gain.
