Holy crap Ferrari look good....
Alonso just did this week's fastest time, 1.11,470. He did 8 laps after that so the tank wasn't at least completely full.
I think Ferrari's performance is real, at least that's what I've heard from the reports on track. Besides the fast lap times, the car handles great and looks fast.

We're still waiting on a few teams, mainly Red Bull who finished the 2009 season on a high, but thus far, the page Ferrari took out of the Honda playbook of starting their next year's car early is playing off. No one is even close to the Scuderia this week.
Next week we'll see Red Bull and Virgin at the very least at Jerez for a 4 day test.

Obviously, the 2010 Ferrari is a complete dog and only with Little Miss Sunshine behind the wheel is the car even competitive.

If that is correct, then the pending success for Ferrari in 2010 will have nothing to do with Little Miss Sunshine, since the car will have already been developed (as you pointed out above) and she can not bring to bear her "best in F1 car development skills".

The key now is to stay in front. Ferrari will have to keep making the car better as Schumacher with Mercedes, to say nothing of McLaren will keep on making improvements as well.
