I think we're going to have to get a wide angle lens for Round 2.
We're expecting to double the field to 8 cars in NASA Texas 944-Spec with the Kansas boys comin' down!!!

I've been working on mine in hopes of making the field at TWS, it's coming along
quite nicely.
FYI - My plan with it is to finish it and then race a couple races, hopefully making it on the podium, and then offering it up for sale. This car was my PCA stock class racer that I am converting to Spec 944 since that class is growing. It will make someone a very nice car that is looking for a well built turnkey car. I always loved driving/racing this car but I just have too many cars and not enough time to race or drive them all, so a few must go. I also have 3 Miatas available, 1 street beater, 1 built Spec Miata, and a donor car clean, low mileage chassis I will be selling as well. I actually have more but that's all I am willing to sell for now.

Todd,
I am very impressed. You and Al have done a great job getting things going in Texas. This class is very affordable and fun class, and in every region all it takes is 2-3 dedicted guys to really drive initial growth. From there it takes off.

So nice work!

It hasn't raced in awhile, it's maiden race it won 3rd out at TWS with a driver that had never raced a Miata before, I think Ara who was one of the top guys at the time was 4th.

Jerry,
I had ten 944 Spec windshield banners made up by Dave Diehl at HyperPerformance Motorsports. (They are all gone now given to current and future Texas 944 racers.) HyperPerformance is also the source for NASA's nationwide supply of American Iron and Camaro-Mustang Challenge windshield banners.

I'm sure he could work up a deal for you or your regional series director may be able to get a supply like we did! Tell 'em I sent ya!

Season Points in NASA Texas after 2 Rounds...

1 Kevin Webb 660
2 Alvaro Fernandez 585
3 Todd Covini 579
4 B J Meyer 410
5 Chris Blazer 215
6 Philip Fromme 155
7 Todd Imwold 155
8 Clifton Winkleman 40

Racing is super close! Chris, Phil and the other Todd joined last round and despite having a few mechanical issues, were battling up front! We plan to have 10+ cars for Round 3 between a newly licensed driver, a few folks on the fence...and the throwdown challenge we threw to the Rocky Mountain guys! There WILL be at least 10 cars at our next event!
