Rene,
PM me your email.

I don't believe I have yours and I want to keep you in the loop on all 944 spec director goings on. The more informed you are the better you can support the class on the ground!

I had a great time. I'm looking forward to us building this class in the Texas region.

I'll get video of the race up soon, until then here's some footage of the HPDE session I ran later that same day. I posted it first since some friends were featured. http://www.vimeo.com/10347661

Glad to see you get out there. It takes at least 1 to get rolling. Then more will follow. The best thing you can do right now is learn drive that car fast. You should be able to run with fastest PTE cars and clearly run faster than PTF cars. In fact a good 944 spec will run faster than mid pack SM cars. For now that should be your target. The very best SM cars are match for the best 944 specs.

IF it grows??? Ha when it grows you do want to be on sidelines watching the action or in middle of it.

Once a core group forms the class will grow like wildfire.. It has in every other region. Texas is next!

Rene started beating the drum, Kevin had the first 944Spec in Tx...
I'm taking the role of regional director and will have my car here and ready for our first event in Jan. Todd Covini also bought a car, so with Kevin that makes at least three of us for the first event! Who'se coming with us???

Al, thanks for taking up the Mantle of Regional Director, and jumping in with both feet with Todd - buying two cars is committment!

To those wo don't know, Al & Todd are established leaders in NASA Texas (and Nationally), and bring a lot of resources to promote this class - it is now officially off the ground in TEXAS!

The snow ball of 944-spec in Texas is growing.

Time for all you fence sitters to start moving.

Remember each region gets $400 in toyo credits for each race with 5 or more starters. That combined with the long life of the RA-1 an reasonable price means 50% to 75% of your tire bill for the season will be free!

Toyo money ? Another reason to get mine done.
Mine really won't even take that much to finish, since it was an ex-PCA stock class racer in it's previous life, it's just all the customer paying cars that keep getting pushed ahead of my personal car.

Yes Toyo pays out rebate totaling $400 each race where there 5 starters

1 = 150
2 = 100
3 = 75
4 = 50
5 = 25

There will be two races most likely so that could be $800 total. Plus top 3 in region for season points get $1000, $500 and $250 in rebates. That does require 8 races with 5+ starters.

WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE TX RACE DATES POSTED. I'M IN KC BUT INTRESTED IN RUNNING SOME OF THE NORTH TX TRACKS WITH NASA. DEPENDING ON THE DATES I COULD POSSABLY GET ALL THREE OF MY SP1 CARS TO BE RACED.
