Are we going to have a Tsunami on the Gulf Coast? If so I might have a problem?

What little effect a Tsunami would have on me - total the boat, sink the car parked at the end of the dock (that would be my second Porsche under water... lol) - it is still trivial in comparison to what the folks in Haiti are going thru right now! I can easily get over it.(hahahaha)

A bigger question is....

What can we, as a community, do to help?

and

Has anyone heard how the orphanage faired?

there is a fault that runs right along the southern part of Hispaniola (Haiti/Dominican Republic)
this is BAD, they just had like 4 hurricanes hit in like a week's time last year and were still trying to get right from that...
they are going to need LOTS of help and prayers

John D. said that so far he has not been able to get in touch with anyone in Haiti. He's tried everything, phone, cell, email... nothing.

I hope and Pray the Rennwish kids and their families are all okay. According to John they were further South of the Epicenter. Hope they were far enough that the School and Orphanage and homes that Rennwish have built are still safe and sound.

7.0 in California would cause damage and that with building built with Earthquakes in mind. I can not imagine what that sort of a quake would do to buildings in Haiti. Probably not good. Plus with the lousy corrupt government in Haiti, how is anyone going to be able to get help to the folks now?

It really is a situation. Poor infrastructure, substandard building construction. Recipe for major disaster.
