Default 2010 PCA CVR Lime Rock Race to be Un-muffled

Just got back from the winter planning meeting and there was much excitement in the room. Our chapter Club Race will be unmuffled this year, which is a really big deal. Spread the word! April 23-24 (info at clubregistration.net).

How the heck did they pull THAT off?? Both days AND the practice/DE day preceding it too?

We can all thank Steve C. who has been relentless for, oh about 20 years! SCCA's bad news (not able to do one of their races) turned into our good fortune (we were able to rent one of the few "unmuffled" race slots). There will be a DE on Thursday, but not sure if it too will be unmuffled.

And yes, Geoffrey, several in the meeting were thinking you would really like this news

Awesome!!! The Grand Am car should be fun, and I broke a minute in the '73 unmuffled at a vintage race so I'll bring that too

Ha ha, that is why I did not put an exclamation point on my post! If I was running the 964 Cup this year I'd be stoked. That said, I suspect these Spec Boxsters will be like those annoying low class 924s and 944s that make a lot of noise (really piercing irritating noise) but don't go anywhere. I'm hopeful for finding a muffler that actually gives a bit of a manly rumble. The unmuffled 964 Cups sound awesome, imo (not that I'm biased in any way... ).

More like a spec miata...actually, the ones Deman has built sound great, but I think they are E and F class cars, not spec cars.
