Exclamation FS: Arai GP5-W size XL Helmet in White (Like New)

I've only worn this helmet to 2 track days (a total of 4 days). I wore a balaclava all 4 days, so it still smells & looks like new inside. I'm selling because it fits me one size too big. If anyone has the same helmet in L & needs one size up, I will accept & actually PREFER to do an even trade, because I'm not too enthusiastic on losing money since I'm probably going to buy the same helmet again anyways.

If you look closely at me (driver), you'll see I'm wearing a balaclava:

Here's another pic from when I just bought it like 3 months ago:

Helmet was: $899
I added the tinted "shield" (visor) to the helmet: another $80

Right now the helmet has a Porsche shield decal on each side which look pretty cool but they're removable, & across the top of the visor is the "RennTrack.com" decal which cost me like $10k & ads about 500HP & 400ft. lbs. of torque to any car you're driving while wearing it. Will post new pics later so you can see what I'm talking about.

I'm asking $750 OBO

Although I'd actually prefer a trade for the same helmet in size L or any other good quality helmet in size L +/- cash.

Thanks!

Sounds like a good deal but too expensive for me. As a positve comment though, I did want to say that when you look at you in the car and compare helmets to your passenger you have WAY more visability. I personnally prefer the style you have for that reason. Good luck with the sale/trade.

Dude, you drive a GT3! You can afford it. I'm only 19 & drive a lowly C2 & bought it.

By the way, your car looks sweet with those CCWs.

Yup, it definetely has great visibility, especially peripheral, in comparison to my Thor helmet (I do Baja Racing) & others I've tried one. Plus it's light as hell, like paper.

Here's a pic of a guy with the same helmet as me (infact, he's the one that recommended I get one). It even lets him wear his eyeglasses comfortably.

Thanks.

I am looking at new helmets actually, which is why I was reading your post too. I am a large, not XL though so it REALLY won't work for me. I was on the Snell site looking at stuff and was reminded their recommendations are a new brain bucket every 5 years which is how old mine is, an SA2000 actually.
Mine has never been dropped and only has minor scratches so I probably should put the money into tires, etc.
I can't believe yours is still for sale. That is a very nice helmet at a great price. Again, I think the visibility is critical and yours has that too.

A lot of tracking/racing organizations like POC will only take one with a Snell rating within the past ten years. So SA2000 should be good through 2010, then you gotta get a SA2005 or 2010 (not sure when it's coming out, but I think in like a year in a half).

Yup, I can't believe it's still for sale as well. When I was looking for this helmet, I looked all over forums & eBay, etc. to find a deal on it & ended up having to cough up the cash for retail. The worst part is I'm going to lose on it & end up buying the same helmet at retail, again.
