Chris,

Your kid looks as hook as any greenie at the track has been after their first run session.

Have a lot of fun bringing that one up... we want progress reports...

And what is Santa bringing him for Christmas?

Powerwheels for the ones under 5. Stock 6v supersix will do 3.5mph. Run that same motor at 12volt and they do over 7mph. Upgrade the motors to 14volt 550can RC car motors and run them at 18volt and they will do over 10mph with enough torque to pull wheel stands. There is a very active community for modifying and hopping up these little cars.

There are also mods to do a remote control shut off switch, convert them to actually left pedal brakes, as well as improving the steering to not be so sloppy.

Grandparents got my little one a powerwheels for x-mas and I've already got the race part list going.

Way to go Kevin, for teaching Max how to turn a wrench before turning a wheel.

I just hope it doesn't turn into an accidental weapon, as hard objects often do in the hands of a toddler.

No such thing as too young, you had to win your first race to be here.

Well maybe a tie if you're a twin..

My grandson (5 in january) LOVES riding in the Pumpkin. "Kick the turbo in, Opa!"

Has been fully involved as a garage pit crew guy since he was 3.

I took him to the SCCA Runoffs at HPT two years ago to watch the T1 finals and while watching the cars come onto the straight and go up through the gears he said " Opa, those cars sound like MUSIC to me!"

His father (top 11 finish this year at SCCA SOLO Nationals) and I have plans for an Autocross kart this year or next......

Just posted this to its own thread, then saw this one.

Sarah's 7, had her go cart for a year. Snow is great to teach car control!
I'm so proud

These get the kids some exercise, too:

We have the kids race every year at the Autobahn family day - set up an autocross course in grid. Yes, someone does win.
